meet my friend ashley from
THE SIGN CAFE
shop | instagram

ashley is one of those uber talented people.  todd and i met ash & her husband when we working in SLO doing ministry.  their friendship was such a blessing to our family... and let me tell you, they (she and her hubby) are some of the funniest people i have ever met in my entire life.  her signs are absolutely adorable.

next let me introduce you too
MERCY INK

i am not completely sure how i stumbled upon lauren's awesome shop, or even when i first found her blog.  perhaps it was because she was in the process of adoption from DRCongo or some sort of connection that i am not thinking of, but her story spoke deeply to me.

you could get this fabulous t-shirt for yourself.  i mean seriously... isn't it amazing.

okay, another meeting
you don't want to miss this one.
ON BRIARWOOD LANE
we figured out yesterday that we have a friend in common.  when i first introduced myself to Olivia, she mentioned that there are a few kiddos from DRCongo that she absolutely adores.  friend who have adopted from there and she fell in love with there kids.  well it just so happens that one of those sweet littles actually was in the same transition house as my boys and we have become friends via a common bond.  i just love watching things work together like that.

this amazing piece is in a 6" vintage hoop.  i can just see this sweet piece hanging on a gallery wall, or sweetly placed in a special little girls room.  i wish i had this talent.

meet the ooohhhh so cuteness behind
MEME & PEARL
i just have to share with you what it says in her shop... because she introduces herself beautifully.

Hello! Welcome to my sweet little shop! I love creating dolls and other sewn items for the people you care about. For every doll that is bought from my shop, I donate a doll to a local charity called CASA. They provide help and support to abused and neglected children. With every purchase, you are bringing comfort and love to a child you care about and one that could really use a friend. What could be better than that?!

seriously?  what could be better than that?

is donating a doll that is already created of your choice.  here are two of my favorites that she has listed in her shop right now. aren't they the cutest little things ever?
